I can not start this Blog before sharing a poetry by my favourite " Javed Akhtar", which always gives me goose bumps. There is no best way to start this " Safar" with few lines that just makes you question-
" Who is travelling?"
" What is constant?"
" Are we travelling in time or is there anything beyond time ?"
" Yeh Waqt Kya hai, Kise pata hai, Kise khabar hai?"
Listening to this and admiring these questions make be believe one thing that poets can have the imagination and strength to believe and think beyond fixed boundaries. They have a major role in society in making them realise and appreciate the magnificence of human emotions, and theirs ability to imagine and in the process find truth. Truth always need to be challenged and biggest challenge is given by poets.
I believe, to have a life purpose or to find one, one should have a connect with some kind of music, poetry, reading and even some kind of sports to be able to evolve and grow as a person. The more you connect, the more you learn and the more you learn, your clarity about your being improves.
While composing , expressions are very important. When it is being recited, it adds an element which allows it to reach to audience's heart. It is with this expression that a writer pens it down. If you try to recite the same Nazm as is , you will note that the effect will be different than the way Javed Ji have on you. His expression and the continuity of it being a Nazm, connects with your soul.
Please enjoy this "Nazm" by Javed Akhtar and I will take another take on this in a separate post . Spellbound!
