Recommended Listening- " Dil Padosi Hai"- 1987

I love music and I just know that there is a deep connect that music has with me. Here I intend to discover some hidden gems. I have many such to share. One of the recent ones is an album which is composed by R.D. Burman, our own " Pancham Da".

Amazingly this is a private album, with songs composed by our own poet in white " Gulzaar" Sahab and songs sung by evergreen "Asha Bhonsle" Ji.

Songs are beautifully written. Every song is a treasured Gem.

My favourite song is " Rishte Bante Hain" and " Umeed Hogi Koi". Music is way ahead of time. Melodious and stays with you like all classic songs .

"Rishte Bante hain" will give you touch of music that Pancham composed in " Ijazat"

"Umeed Hogi Koi" is just so original. You will need to listen to this couple of times to understand its magnitude.

They are just classics. If you listen them today, you would not be able to believe that these were composed in 1987. They are just so relevant even in today's musical eco system.

A special mention to song " Jaane do much" in which love of a women is depicted who even though loves her man but is requesting him to let her go because of abuses ( or pain/hurt) that she gets from him in her everyday life. It is just so beautifully written and how Asha ji has given expression is noteworthy.

Song " Shaam se Ankh mein Nami si hai" was even used in Claassic Album sung by our own Ghazal king Jagjit Singh Ji in " Marasim" composed by Gulzar Sahab as well.
